Russ
brings several decades of experience as a bandleader, soloist, session
player, teacher and producer, spanning the gamut of musical styles from
Rock 
Russ graduated with honors from Dartmouth College, where he received the ASCAP Award for excellence in composing, toured nationally with the Dartmouth Aires, and was honored with the Marcus Heiman Award for outstanding achievement in the Arts. While at Dartmouth, Russ was selected for one-on-one apprenticeships with distinguished members of the Music Faculty, exploring advanced elements of instrumental and vocal techniques, composing, arranging, recording, producing, and performance.

Russ finds guiding others and bringing out their talents even more fulfilling than
being on stage himself, and has dedicated himself to that calling,
teaching and coaching in schools, camps, arts centers, music schools,
and mentoring a large and enthusiastic following of private students.
